Poker fans who missed the Season 3 launch of NBC’s Poker After Dark — featuring the first-ever true amateur on the show — get another viewing opportunity starting Monday night (March 3).

Ken Light, a micro-stakes online player who’s a grad student at Rutgers University, battles to the end against a super-strong lineup of Phil Hellmuth, Scotty Nguyen, Daniel Negreanu, Jennifer Harman and Mike Matusow.

When the show aired the first week of January, Light blogged the six episodes practically in real time exclusively on this Web site. His posts, describing strategy points and behind-the-scenes experiences, generated quite a response.

Those original posts and comments have been reorganized here for easy one-click reading all week long during the encore showing. Your fresh comments about the show are welcome!

Check out the two latest LuckyDog Poker columns, won’t you?

One tells how a college wrestler from Michigan who’s been selling insurance was able to defeat a pro-laden final table last month at the World Poker Open in Tunica, Ms. There’s a photo of winner Brett Faustman there, too.

The other answers readers questions about the impact of table image, getting started playing online, and, my favorite, what happened to Shana Hiatt on Poker After Dark. And yes, there are pics of Shana and her replacement, Marianela!

Enjoy!
